PCC Foundation* Gives $45,500 to Local Charities
Grants continue to increase year-over-year
SAN RAMON, CA - March 4, 2014:
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Drysdale Properties announced at an annual company meeting last week the third year of funding for 13 local charities totaling $45,500. The PCC Foundation was conceived January 2011, and awarded its second set of grants ($30,000 to 12 different local non-profits) in February last year. The foundation doubled the number of grantees the second year, and increased the total funding amount by 60 percent. This year the Foundation increased the amount per grantee from $2,000 to $3,500. The Foundation is funded by individual donations from Drysdale Properties real estate agents, who contribute a portion of their commissions from every closed transaction as an expression of their personal commitment to the communities in which they live and serve.
The 13 charities, who each received a grant of $3,500 at the event, were chosen through a nomination process. Drysdale Properties agents, from throughout the Bay Area, Sacramento and the
Central Valley, submitted nominees for grants. The grantees all have missions around providing short-term and long-term housing and/or food for the needy, and represent a wide geographic coverage. This is the third year of grants and we're pleased that, through the gracious donations of agents, we were able to increase the amount we are giving to each of the chosen charities,” said
Gretchen Pearson, President of Drysdale Properties. It is one of our core values to give back to the communities in which we serve, and these grants, along with our community day participation and many other individual efforts, help accomplish this purpose. I’m proud of all the agents who support these efforts to make our communities better places to live.
