Thank you for taking some time to learn about me! Long time San Ramon residents, our family just loves this beautiful area that we are lucky enough to call home. My husband and I have been busy raising our three children - Noelle is in Denver, Jared in Chicago, and Jason is at UC Santa Cruz. We love to travel when we have time and have put a lot of work into our home where we love to entertain our friends, family and clients.

Overall, the agent did a decent job. It is difficult to criticize when the final sales price ends up being well above asking. However, we were selling in a very hot/desirable market, so we dont think we were very difficult clients. The reasons why we gave a lukewarm review is because we expected more attention to detail and concern for our property. Perhaps we got a general dislike for agents in because our property was not respected as much as we would have liked. (For example the heat was left on after the home inspection resulting in a large utility bill. We were no longer living in the home, so we expected the agent to "button up" the property for us. We found the back door not only unlocked, but wide open to the garage on two occasions. To be fair, perhaps this was not our agents fault, but our home was her responsibility.) Our agent let buyers in the home well after reasonable hours. She emphatically denied the authorization, but evidence proves otherwise. \r\n\r\nWe accepted an offer well over asking, but the house inspector recommended a few expensive repairs. We do believe our agent did a good job negotiating the cost of the repairs, but we would have preferred to reduce the price of the house to cover the costs. Instead, our agent strongly recommended writing a check for the price of the repairs (she said it would send red flags to the lender and might make the deal fall apart). It didnt dawn on us until later that perhaps she was protecting her commission by having us write such a check. The commission should have been reduced accordingly. That was not the agents "fault". It was us not being experienced.

We are from New York State originally and the selling and purchase procedure is very different. We were used to the process including attorneys and the buyer paying commission to their own real estate agent. The Title Company in California has a much bigger role than in NY. However we appreciated the expediency of Docusign.
